Damn that thing is fun to operate in VR, but if you don't have your VR legs on tight, it can turn your stomach inside out. Another good game that gave me that sense of movement, as well as a touch of motion sickness, was the airboat in HL2:VR's Water Hazard level. I play a lot of racing games in VR and they all lack teeth a bit because I don't really feel like I'm moving. On a related note, it's one of the very few games to have ever given me an actual sense of momentum - which was fun. I also noticed a bit of motion sickness on occasion with the game, but it was never enough to bother me to the point of having to take off the headset. Everything is just license agreement with increasingly un-consumer friendly terms and which can be terminated at any time for any reason. It's not like you own the games you buy now anyhow. Enough to keep me from ever buying one of the dev's games again, but the damages just aren't worth the effort to recompence. I wasn't too concerned, since it only cost me a few dollars on a sale. The lacking variety of songs is another common complaint - though this was a concession since they had to license a LOT more songs to remix into the concert modes, which themselves acted as "boss battles"/endurance matches and added significantly, IMO, to the gameplay loop. The forced story mode and module grinding ruins it. The game itself is, IMO, one of the best Project Divas that still has a ton of exclusive tracks. Project Diva X gets a special consideration - because it's VR mode is neat, but contains no gameplay, just virtual concerts. Your entire purchase, and them money you spent, was just erased from existence. Eve Valkyrie was good while it lasted, but doesn't make the list because it's not just offline and de-listed, you can't even play it offline. Not licensing out Journey songs for the soundtrack docks points. Thumper is decent, but a bit 2 dimension for a 3D VR game. Skyrim VR gets bumped off the list because Bethesda are terrible at VR games and Plank/Higgs/VRIIK absolutely embarrass the lazy port Bethesda tried to get you to pay $60 for. Dreams can be hit or miss, but that largely depends on what you download from it or what you create with it. Game Discussions Previous AMAs PSVR Dev?
